Panic Attacks
Panic attacks are periods when the sufferer experiences sudden periods of extreme anxiety, causing emotional symptoms such as fear, feeling out of control or irrationality and physical symptoms such as nausea, dizziness, racing pulse and shortness of breath.

Sufferers of panic attacks are experiencing the body’s natural reaction towards a dangerous situation, known as the ‘fight or flight’ mechanism although the trigger of the panic attack may not be apparent or logical to another person. Panic attacks can be extremely frightening and can have a major impact on the everyday live of the sufferer.

Hypnotherapy and psychotherapy can help the sufferer to learn how to deal with a panic attack at it’s onset so that the sufferer is back in control and able to deal with the situation. The cause of the panic attacks is also addressed so that the trigger of the attacks is no longer a threat to the sufferer.
